Friederike Rohde

Sociology and Technology Studies (Dipl.)

Friederike Rohde is a researcher in Science & Technology Studies, focusing on the dynamics of socio-technical change processes. She is concerned with making digital change more sustainable and is interested in transformative social innovation approaches. Currently, she is a Researcher at the Institute for Ecological Economy Research and has completed her PhD at TU Berlin on narratives and future visions of digitalization, such as Smart Grids and Smart Cities. She is interested in exploring the interrelations between AI and sustainability and the expectations and promises raised in public debates when it comes to emerging technologies.
