The publication examines the effects of two climate policy measures by the city of Frankfurt/Main seen from a user perspective. Qualitative semi-structured interviews with 10 users for each measure have been conducted between January and March 2013. The power saving bonus “Stromsparprämie” as well as the power saving advice “Stromsparberatung” were predominant during the interviews. 

After a presentation of the background, an overview of the methodology will be provided. Thereby, it will be illustrated how the interviewed users evaluate the measures and if necessary how they would improve them to foster even more power savings in Frankfurt households. First, the power saving advice “Stromsparberatung” will be addressed and subsequently the power saving bonus “Stromsparprämie".
