Energy Partnerships Berlin-Brandenburg

The usage of renewable energies (biofuels, biogas, green electricity and hydrogen deriving from it) can be considered to be one of different approaches towards a more sustainable mobility. As especially Brandenburg offers high renewable energy potentials, energy partnerships in Berlin and Brandenburg could contribute to extend more climate friendly mobility patterns in the region. In the light of those potentials, the possibilities to apply renewable energy sources in the transport sector have been identified and documented in a report. Based on those results, existing partnerships and the political need for action have been showcased. Furthermore, an inventory was conducted in the participating regions of the INTERREG IV-Project Catch-MR. The results were presented at an international conference of the project Catch-MR and have been published in a newsletter.
