Tagung: Forum Kreislauf- und Abfallwirtschaft in Hochschulen 2024
Event by: HIS-Institut für Hochschulentwicklung e. V. in Kooperation mit der Technischen Universität Clausthal
17.06.24, Clausthal-Zellerfeld

In his presentation, Dr. Frieder Rubik is discussing the implementation of reusable systems in out-of-home consumption. He begins by presenting the REPAID project, which is investigating how disposable packaging can be reduced through automated take-back and digital interventions. The presentation also discusses the areas of application of reusable systems, describes various reusable options and emphasizes the ecological and economic benefits. It also explains the challenges involved in implementation – such as changes in operational processes and the need for new collaborations. Finally, the presentation presents concrete strategies that can successfully organize and promote reusable systems at the point of sale and in take-back – such as training staff and creating incentives for customers.
